DnD anyone?
Thorin, Gangrif, Alandriuhl, Galene, these are all names I've assumed when in the ficticious realm of Dungeon's & Dragons. I've been playing since somewhere n 1999, and i've just recently started my very own 3rd Edition Campeign. It's a lot of fun, and its great to be able to leave the real world for a night to play out the role of an adventurer, a scoundral, a king, or a thief.. DnD is'nt for everyone, but I enjoy it. Not sure if I enjoy running things, but it sure is fun to play.
In the campeign that I'm running right now, all of my player's are on a quest for an antidote. One of the noble's in their hometown has become ill, and they were sent on a quest to find the Jissip plant, which was supposed to cure the noble. However, they couldnt find one, and eventually ran across an ancient mage, in a tower in the wilderness, who informed them that there is no such plant, it is extinct. However, he knows of an alternate cure, and will make it for them if they bring him a Cockatrice. They did so, and he made a concauction which was missing one element. The sap of a plant found on the other side of the mountains. They simply have to find this plant, and combine the antidote they have, with the plant, and they're on their way home. Theyve crossed the mountains, and are now on the eastern side, near the river which this plant supposedly grows on the banks of. Thats where we are for now, if i'm nice i may even let them finish this campeign in a few nights. :)
